Effective training has been identified as a critical success factor in the implementation of telemedicine programs worldwide. In response to this need, AMD Telemedicine now offers clinical in-service training as well as technical training to support it customer’s implementation of telemedicine programs. AMD offers training programs specific to its own products and well as custom training to meet specific customer needs. The Company announced the appointment of Diane Castelli, RN, MS, MSN to lead this effort. As training Manager, Diane’s primary responsibilities will include managing the development and delivery training as well a quality control and customer satisfaction.

Diane will take the lead in making AMD’s training offerings world-class”.
Diane’s clinical nursing experience includes several years in Critical Care and more than 10 years in a Level II Trauma Emergency Center in North Central Massachusetts. She also has extensive experience in the development and training of anesthesia and emergency department software applications and has trained physicians and nurses throughout the United States. Diane also has international nursing experience, serving in the Bahamas, the UK and the Dominican Republic.
Diane holds Masters Degrees in Forensic Nursing and Communications from Fitchburg State College, Fitchburg, MA. She has been a member of the American Telemedicine Association since 1997, served as clinical nurse consultant and educator for Forensic Nursing, participated as a faculty member for the “How to Build a Telemedicine Program” for The University of Vermont & Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, VT and has been an invited guest speaker for several Telemedicine, Telehealth and Tele-nursing conferences for the military, nursing schools and public health nurses. . She is also a member of the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society of Nursing, Inc.
