About PCCHF
The Paul Chester Children’s Hope Foundation (PCCHF) is a registered 501c3 charity that provides medical assistance to children and families in developing countries, giving them a chance to live productive lives through well-conceived medical interventions.
PCCHF provides vital assistance to improve the lives and well being of families in developing countries. Its medical outreach programs bring critical health resources and treatments to remote communities, harnessing the expertise of our volunteer medical professionals.
The foundation honors the legacy of Paul Chester (1987- 2003), a bright young man deeply committed to helping young people. To find out more, log on to www.pcchf.org.
“To reach our clinic it takes 2½ days of travel – making it difficult for some qualified physicians to reach vulnerable patients. This integrated telemedicine solution allowed PCCHF’s team of medical experts on-site to consult with top specialists in the U.S. to treat some of the more difficult cases.”

Mission to Kenya
For its January 2011 mission to Kenya, PCCHF partnered with Guardian 24/7 to provide telemedicine technology to the most vulnerable patients in rural Kenya.
“One of our partners for this mission was Guardian 24/7. They provided us with telemedicine capability in the field, which is an incredible component of this mission. The use of telemedicine is certainly bringing something new and something that has never been done before into these village of Kenya,” stated Dr. Chester.
This was the first mission that visited multiple sites. At the Nairobi, Narok, Laikipia and Malindi locations, PCCHF’s volunteers, with the help of AMD’s Dispatch Case and telemedicine peripherals, were able to consult with Guardian 24/7 physicians located in the United States.
AMD’s Dispatch Case, a light-weight; ruggedized; portable device, contains several telemedicine peripherals and its portability made it a perfect fit for these remote locations in Kenya.
“With the help of AMD’s devices, PCCHF’s team could literally set up a pop-up clinic at each site and in minutes, connect with Guardian 24/7’s team of physicians in the U.S. and all of the doctors involved will share the same information and vital signs to treat patients,” said Jonathan Frye, CEO of Guardian 24/7.
“Their little box (AMD’s Dispatch Case) has turned out to be a very powerful tool for our mission,” explained Chester. “We could have telemedicine conferences with doctors in the U.S. in the middle of Narok or from the coast of Malindi. These telemedicine consults make it so that it is just like we would be seeing a patient in the U.S.”
While in Kenya, PCCHF’s team of 20 medical volunteers completed over 1,000 medical cases and 60 surgeries.
