Maine Seacoast Mission uses 72-foot ship (Sunbeam) to provide telemedicine services to 9 islands off the coast of Bar Harbor, Maine

Maine Seacoast mission has been providing telehealth services to islands for 14 years, adressing primary care services and monitoring ongoing medical issues such as diabetes or high blood pressure. AMD telemedicine equipment is used to make medical care possible to residents in rural areas who do not have health care facilities or whose facilities do not have the specialists necessary to treat certain conditions.
