AMD Telemedicine Achieves ISO Certifications

AMD Telemedicine, the worldwide leading supplier of telemedicine devices and peripherals and the provider of the CareCompanion suite of home telemonitoring solutions has received certification under both ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003.

The ISO system establishes a structured framework for quality output and it is becoming a standard requirement for companies. Achieving ISO certification for both these ISO standards means that AMD Telemedicine is compliant with the ISO requirements for medical products companies and that AMD Telemedicine is in compliance with new requirements for selling medical products in Canada as well as anticipated future standards in the United States and Europe.

AMD’s customers can now be assured that AMD’s quality management system conforms to the International Organization for Standardization’s guidelines and is audited annually by an independent external company for continued compliance. AMD has demonstrated that its quality management system meets requirements for providing medical devices and related services that consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements applicable to medical devices and related services.

“Quality improvement never rests and we continue toward excellence in our products services and our employees.” said Mark VanderWerf, President, AMD Telemedicine. Our ISO certifications reinforce our commitment to present and future customers to deliver the consistency and quality they should expect.” Mr. VanderWerf continued: “I would like to thank our ISO compliance team under the direction of Eric Bacon and Josh Abrams and all of our employees and advisors who have worked toward this achievement.
