AMD Global Telemedicine Increases Data Sharing Capabilities for Clinicians and Physicians with AGNES 3.1.0

Telemedicine Software Updates Include HL7 Support, Third-Party Document Capturing, Manual Vital Signs Data Entry, LDAP Integration

Chelmsford, MA, March 13, 2013 – AMD Global Telemedicine Inc. (AMD), the world’s leading supplier of medical technology for clinical telemedicine, announced today an upgrade to their AGNES software system that now offers users the ability to share data across multiple platforms, capture and share third party medical documents, manually add vital signs, and simplifies enterprise infrastructure integration.

AGNES 3.1.0 is telemedicine device aggregation software that gathers and distributes medical device data in real time from a referring to remote consulting location. The latest release includes the following new features:

  • HL7 integration: expands the user’s ability to share the medical information across multiple patient record platforms.
  • Third-party document capturing: a universal data acquisition feature has been added to give clinicians the ability to bring in medical data generated from any external medical device or software program that has “print” functionality.
  • Manual vital signs data entry: in addition to the existing VSM features of ANGES, important medical data captured from external vital sign devices can now be manually entered into the session details.
  • LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) support: simplifies the user experience by removing the need to remember multiple account names and passwords and easily integrates into the existingenterprise infrastructure.

“This latest release of AGNES was driven by our customers’ request to truly capture the entire story of the patient, as well as our commitment to continue to provide a solution they can depend on for their telemedicine programs”, commented Dan McCafferty, Vice President, Global Sales & Corporate Development, AMD Global Telemedicine. “The added features allow the doctors or healthcare providers to look at all the medical information in a single session instead of having to compile it together, and then running the risk of missing a critical piece of medical data” added McCafferty.
