Ron brings over sixteen years experience building strategic relationships and growing telemedicine programs worldwide at Polycom and Maine Telemedicine Services.
Ron joins AMD as the Global Director of Strategic and Partner Development to continue his success of accelerating strategic business opportunities and creating comprehensive telehealth solutions. His expertise in clinical care, regulatory policies, and telemedicine workflow are key components of his new role at AMD. “I am excited to lead the valuable partnership program here at AMD and look forward developing new telehealth delivery models in this dynamic state of the healthcare industry,” commented Emerson.

As a healthcare industry executive, Ron has served in multiple roles througout his extensive career. Ron played a significant role in driving Polycom’s strategy and business development for their healthcare sector. He also led global healthcare alliance partnerships with both large and multi-faceted organizations such as Microsoft and small niche solution providers. Prior to Polycom, Ron was the Executive Director of a large telehealth network where he created strong customer-aligned value propositions and developed strategic partnerships in multiple markets. He is a past recipient of the American Telemedicine Association’s Industry Council Award for Leadership and the Advancement of Telehealth and a former member of the American Telemedicine Board of Directors.
